Cable pull, vault to vault — auto

No controls here: five short stories play on their own. A straight pull passes. Two bends still pass. A 90 degree bend after a long straight overloads the sidewall until the pull is reversed. A bigger radius fixes the same bend. An over-long run needs an intermediate vault. Use Pause, or the story and step buttons, to stop on any frame.

One bend at true scale · 1 ft grid

Every check at this step · the controlling row is highlighted

Rule column: the citation the data file gives for each check. None of these limits is a published standard.

How the checks read it

Every check · the problem, the change, the fix

Required values are the function's own defaults for these cables, read from the data file: rated pulling tension and the sidewall limit have no cited source.

Precomputed results:every verdict, required value and margin on this page was computed by the real Python harness at export time and is played back from a data file. The page runs no harness logic and holds no standards tables, and it never interpolates between exported values. Not a live API call. Precomputed by the real functions calculate_pulling_tension, calculate_max_pull_length and recommend_intermediate_vaults in uvm-agent-harness (commit a267697); the tests are 10 internal self-consistency checks, not a standards check. This is draft, inherited code: the harness's own validation notes say the pulling-tension service was not reviewed and there is no standards ingestion. Cable weights per foot, rated pulling tensions, the 300 lb/ft sidewall limit, the friction coefficient 0.35 and the 0.8 vault safety factor are constants in the code with no source cited; none of them is presented here as a standard. Run geometry (lengths, angles, radii, the vault boxes) is illustrative, and the order of the story steps is this demo's own script (provenance demo-logic). The functions take no pull direction: Reverse means the exporter reversed the section list and re-ran the real function. Domain maturity, quoted from the domain page: starting inventory, not a completed review. The calculation services were inherited as live code that predates the review process and have had no expert sign-off; ingestion of the NEC standards text has not started.Real functions this maps to:calculate_pulling_tension, calculate_max_pull_length, recommend_intermediate_vaults.Not modeled: conduit size or material, jam ratio, pulling-eye or grip strength, reel back-tension, vertical sections or risers, temperature, lubricant, and any standards-based tension or sidewall limit. Straight lengths are compressed in the drawing; vault dimensions and burial depth are illustrative.See also:Cable pull, interactive with free play · Conduit fill, hands-off
