Pole groundline moment — auto

The bulletin's TS-1 55 ft pole carries a fixed wind and capacity while the horizontal span sweeps from 0 to 700 ft. Wind on the pole is constant; wind on the wires and the vertical terms grow with span until the total reaches the dashed capacity line.

Client-side port:the logic and table in this page are a TypeScript port of the harness function, checked against values exported from the Python tests. Not a live API call. Domain maturity, quoted from the research page: “Schema draft, unvalidated. No structural or transmission-line PE has reviewed it. Insulator swing, pole capacity, crossarm span and guying are checked against the bulletin’s worked examples; ROW width and galloping are formula-consistency only.” All data are the bulletin's TS-1 worked example (4 psf, 204,200 ft-lbs); the tick sits at the maximum span the quadratic returns, which the Python reproduces as the bulletin's 423 ft within the ±3 ft its tests allow. The harness returns computed values, not verdicts.Real function this maps to:max_horizontal_span_ground_line_method.Not modeled: the Point-of-Maximum-Stress method (60 ft and longer poles), guyed poles, the iterative deflection-magnifier re-check (the assumed 1.15 is used as given), other poles or loadings, and whether any span is acceptable for a real design. This is one canned example, not a pole check.See also:Pole groundline moment, interactive · Insulator swing, auto sweep
